The American Red Cross will host a blood drive Oct. 15 in the Administration Building cafeteria.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public over the age of 16. Identification is required and a donor card is helpful.
Donors can schedule an appointment on the American Red Cross website: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time or by using the American Red Cross Blood Donor App.
Walk-ins are also acceptable.
Donors also have a chance to win one of five $500 gift cards. More information can be found at rcblood.org/game.
According to the American Red Cross, blood type is O negative is the most needed blood due to its versatility during transfusions, especially for immune deficient newborns.
