Ted Vassar Exhibition

MCCC’s art professor Ted Vassar has been presenting his solo exhibition of water media paintings at Adrian’s Croswell Opera House art gallery, which started in January and will end on the 20th of February.

His gallery can be viewed from 5:30-6:30, then following from 6:30-7:30 with a demonstration by Vassar of his techniques and approach to creating award winning paintings.

Vassar has on display multiple pieces of his recent award winning art that has been nationally recognized.

Vassar has been a professor at MCCC for 46 years, and plans on retiring the year after next. He was born in 1939 in Toledo Ohio, living with his wife Eva in Lenawee County. He is a member of the Toledo Artist’s Club, Ohio Watercolor Society, and the Michigan Watercolor Society.

He has won multiple awards for his transparent watercolor and water-media paintings and has been selected for exhibition in juried national, regional, state and local art exhibitions.
