The results are in and the MCCC faculty has approved a new contract with the college.
Dr. Patrick Nedry, chief negotiator for the Faculty Association, said the faculty approved the tentative agreement in voting that ended Thursday afternoon.
“The plan is for it to be presented to the Board of Trustees,” Nedry said.
The board meets for its regular November meeting Monday, Nov. 25.
Mark Bergmooser, professor of speech and president of the Faculty Association, expressed his satisfaction with the decision.
“I am happy that it passed,” he said.
The two parties have been negotiating on a contract since the winter semester. The college and Faculty Association reached a tentative agreement Friday, and the details were presented to the faculty Tuesday. They voted through midday Thursday.
Nedry declined to provide details of the tentative agreement.
