Campus construction continues on CTC

Starting July 2, construction of the Career Technology Center will move into the next phase.

This part of the construction will take place on the west side of the site, according to Jim Blumberg, director of the MCCC Physical Plant.

It will include the installation of a storm sewer, sanitary sewer, the realignment of the main drive, and adjustments to parking lots one and two.

When the sewer line is being installed, it will impact the walks between lot two and the Life Sciences Building, Blumberg said. Lot three will not be affected.

All the entrances to the Life Sciences Building will remain open, he said.

The main drive realignment also means that there will be construction taking place in the north portions of lots one and two. However, they will remain open.

All the work is expected to be completed by Aug. 22.
