Commencement Ceremony

On Friday, April 27, MCCC will hold its annual Commencement Ceremony in the Health Science building at 7 p.m.
The ceremony is held in honor of those who are graduating from MCCC this year. This event is not open to the general public, as the only way to get tickets is from a graduating student.
Each student participating in the event will be allotted four tickets for guests, and are asked to turn in any unused tickets to the Registrar’s Office.
The tickets can be picked up with the cap and gown. The tickets are free, though the gowns are not. The fee to purchase the cap and gown is $25, and includes one tassel. Additional tassels may be purchased for an extra cost.
To better allow more people to witness the ceremony, commencement will be broadcast live on several Monroe-area cable channels, and will also be broadcast live in the Meyer Theater.
The theater can accommodate up to 475 people. This is the first year that MCCC has attempted such a broadcast. There will be a rehearsal at 1 p.m. on the same day as the ceremony.
It is expected to last approximately one and a half hours. It also will be held in the H building auditorium.
