Game Review: Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3, a third person shooter game, had so much hype that hours before it was released people started lining up to purchase the game. I was one of them.

For starters, the game’s graphics are amazing! The pictures are not only great, but the animations are just as awesome. All the characters move, run, and speak the way one would picture they would. The weapons, the gore, and the aftermath are wrapped up fine and clear for all those who are playing.

Beast mode is so much more entertaining than the other modes in the game. The player becomes one of the Locusts, set out to destroy the COG. Tier after tier after tier, the player can gain higher ranking members of the Locusts. Unlockable Locusts become more destructive and devastating as the game progresses, making the purchase totally worth it.

Co-op is also another interesting facet of the game. No matter what side the player is on, the characters are equally strong; either way the player is a dominant warrior, fighting for his side.

And to top it off, the game carries a great story line! There is something to reel everyone in. The storyline has so many twists and turns that the player may never want to stop playing and is left wanting more.

As a game player, I was highly impressed with this latest addition of Gears. Gamers want amazing graphics, animations, and a story line that sucks them in. Gears of War 3 has that, and so much more to offer.

Final grade: 10/10.
