Chorale to host concert for “Toys for Tots”

MCCC’s Agora Chorale is hosting a benefit concert for “Toys for Tots” at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14.

The concert will take place at the Meyer Theater. There is no admission charge, but those attending are asked to bring a toy.

Toys will be presented during intermission to a Marine Corp representative, who will put the toys in boxes near the stage.

The choir is conducted by Catherine Brodie and accompanied by Alyce Sangster.

A variety of carols will be performed, including “Carol of the Bells,” “Fum, Fum, Fum,” “The Star Carol,” and “Behold that Star.”

The concert also will feature Carillon, a guest women’s chorale from the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. Carillon is conducted by Karen Nevins and accompanied by Alyce Sangster.

Carillon will sing carols as well, including “Christmas Pipes,” “O Tannenbaum,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
