MCCC and its faculty have scheduled the first meeting with a mediator for Oct. 14.
MCCC’s faculty have been working without a contract since August.
Only a few issues remain, faculty chief negotiator Pat Nedry said. The job of the mediator will be to figure out the real issues to help the teams settle their remaining concerns.
Negotiations began last spring, when the MCCC Faculty Association submitted a request to begin negotiating.
