Kimberly Reaume, 27, an administrative assistant in the Financial Aid office, died unexpectedly Friday night after battling a long-term illness.
Reaume was a former MCCC student, and, during her time at the college, worked part-time as a student assistant after class.
“Helping students seek financial aid was her forte,” college president Dr. David Nixon said. “And those attributes eventually earned her a full-time job.”
According to the obituary in the Monroe Evening News, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A lover of animals, but especially cats and penguins, she was kind, thoughtful, and a very giving person.
“During all the time of her illness, I never heard her complain. We are saddened by her death and grieve for family,” Nixon said.
