Sheriff’s Office called over incident

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office was called about an incident on campus involving an instructor.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office responded to a behavioral incident with an adjunt professor on campus, this morning.

Campus security responded first and the professor left soon after, Randell Daniels, the vice president of student and information services said.

Daniels sent an email to students to let them know what happened.

Calling the Sheriff's Office was a precaution, and there was no immediate threat, Daniels said in the email.

He declined to give the professor's name.

"The last communication we had was the person was being cared for, which is what we want-everybody to be safe," he said.
