Trustees approve one-time compensation for MCCC staff

The MCCC Board of Trustees approved a one-time compensation adjustment for MCCC support staff, administrators, part-time support staff, and adjunct faculty at its Nov. 15 meeting.

“The MCCC Trustees have publicly expressed their appreciation to employees who have taken pay freezes during the current economic crisis,” MCCC President David Nixon wrote in an email.

The one-time compensation is for current employees who have been employed at the college since Jan. 1, 2010, and will still be employed there by Dec. 1, 2010.

Each full-time support staff, employee, and administrator will receive $500.

Each part-time support staff employee who averaged 11 hours or more per week will receive $250.

Part-time support staff employees who average 1-10 hours per week will receive $125.

The one-time compensation will be included in the December payroll.

Adjunct faculty employed during the Winter and Fall 2010 semesters will receive $125 as well. They will receive their payment in December.

All current full-time maintenance employees who have been employed since Jan. 1, 2010 and will still be employed as of Dec. 1, 2010 will receive $500 as well, which will be paid in December.
