Volunteers needed for Family Fun Night 2010

Family Fun Night is one of Student Government’s largest events of the year, and they could use your help.

The annual family event is an inexpensive and fun evening for families in the community.

“We have a lot of things to do including carnival games, giant inflatables, family photos, The Toledo Zoo, Magicians, Face Painting and Fire Trucks,” said Tom Ryder, who is head of Student Government activities. “It should be fun.”

Families can enjoy all of these activities for only $1.00.

This year’s Family Fun Night will take place on April 23 from 6-9 p.m. in the Health Education Building’s Multi-Purpose Room.

Student Government needs approximately 80 volunteers for the event. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and pizza after the event, thanks to Scott Smith from Farmer’s Insurance.

Volunteers can help any time during the event.

Previous years have brought over 700 members of the community to the event. This year, they are expecting over 1,000 community members to attend.

“This is a fun and affordable event for the students, staff and community with families,” Ryder said.

New to the event this year are critters from the Toledo Zoo.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Tom Ryder at 734-384-4201 for a volunteer form as soon as possible.
