The Learning Assistance Lab is offering a free workshop to help students become more prepared for tests.
The LAL, located on the second floor of the C-building, is offering three identical one-hour workshops: Tuesday, March 23 at noon; Wednesday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m.; Thursday, March 25 at 12:30 p.m.
The workshops, which are open to any MCCC student, will focus on how to prepare for a test, how to manage test anxiety, how to perform during the test, and what to do after the test.
Krista Tomaselli, a faculty specialist in the LAL, will be presenting the workshops.
“Normally in high school we don’t see many courses where instructors teach the test-taking techniques,” Dr. Cynthia Riedel, faculty coordinator of the LAL, said. “There are skills involved in test-taking, and this workshop will focus on them.”
