Through dramatic readings, Poetry Alive! actors introduce audiences to new and exciting ways to experience poetry.

On April 6, the MCCC Introduction to Humanities students sponsored a Poetry Alive! performance in the Little Theater.

Professors and students braved the torrential downpours and high winds to watch Hank Brannocle and Brian Knox perform a number of poems from different eras and genres.

The Ballad of Hiram Hover by Bayard Taylor and Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll were just a few of the poems that Knox and Brannocle brought to life.

The highlight of the evening came when Professor Lori Jo Couch was brought onstage to play the role of the jabberwocky.

Couch, to the delight of those gathered in the Little Theater, was spirited and animated and fit right in with the Poetry Alive! actors.

The Poetry Alive! troop is constantly on tour. Anyone interested in more information can go to poetryalive.com.
